So I've told you who the Bush administration said was behind the 9/11 attacks and the reasons why they said we needed to go war with Iraq. Now, lets take a further look into information that we have now and some information that comes from before the war on Iraq. We know now that Al-Quaeda was behind the attacks of 9/11 as we have receipts and information about the men who hijacked the planes and the open admittance from then Al- Quaeda leader, Osama Bin Laden. However studies have been done by both the military and the September 11th commission and have found no links between Al-Quaeda and Hussein's Iraq. As for WMD, there were over 300 inspections done in Iraq for such weapons and there were no signs of nuclear programs although Rumsfield and others claim that Hussein was hiding them in neighborhoods and moving them every 12-24 hours. Furthermore, the Bush administration went on rants about how we needed to help the people of Iraq set up a democracy and end Hussein's tyranny. It makes me wonder why all of sudden we care about ending a dictatorship there. They were a dictatorship when they were fighting Iran and we were supporting them with money, intelligence, technology and transforming them into the middle eastern power they were before we deemed them a culprit on the "axis of evil". It just seems as if there may have been an ulterior motive other than what we were lead to believe...like control over the 2nd largest oil reserves.
